Lake House

Lac La Nonne, Alberta

The renovation project transformed a weekend family cabin into a full-time residence, expanding the existing 24' by 34' structure with a 720-square-foot addition. The original cabin was completely gutted to make way for a large open concept kitchen and living room, along with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open mudroom, and a cozy sunroom overlooking the lake. The owners cherished the tongue and groove ceiling in the existing cabin, leading to a meticulous effort to match it in the new addition. The result is a seamless blend of old and new. Additionally, a spacious deck spanning the lakeside of the house was added, providing an ideal setting for family dinners and outdoor entertaining. The project beautifully marries the cabin's nostalgic charm with modern functionality.
